Eleven year old single lap track record at City Speedway (WA) shattered by visiting American!
December 8th, 2009 “The most unfortunate driver of the night had to be the visiting American Austin Farley, who rolled his #47 machine while leading the A-Main after contact with a lapped car in turn three, although Farley claimed a new 1-lap record in the Dash when he SHATTERED the time to 14.22 seconds. The old 1. lap record was Luke Dillon (28/11/98) 0:15.99″

Note: Just hours prior to this unfortunate accident Austin had placed 3rd in the 1st heat race, won the 2nd heat race, won the 5 lap “Dash for Cash” and was lapping the field in the A main, when……………….

Despite the spectacular crash, Austin walked out of the accident just fine and unscathed!
